The Artist
George Wyn Gascoigne,born in Mid Wales and now living and working in Hampshire.
A painter of countryside and coastal landscapes surrounding Hampshire and West Sussex mainly in the medium of watercolour  and acrylics.  
  
 Also paints the wilder landscapes of Wales and the north of England.

Impressions in Art By George W. Gascoigne
Attended Portsmouth College of Art in the early 70’s studying Retail and Exhibition Design. Primarily a self taught painter with 15 years experience of teaching in adult education at Havant College and South Downs College.
Now runs independent courses teaching Watercolour, Acrylics, Oils and Mixed Media to adults in the Hampshire area. Also presents demonstrations to art clubs.
My inspiration comes mainly from the autumn and winter landscapes with its skeletal trees and misty atmospheres and my approach is towards an impressionist style of painting.
